One of the most important rules of thumb when you're preparing your home for sale is to look at it from a buyer's point of view.  Nowhere is that truer than in the wall colours you choose. You may love strong colours and have very stylish interior decor that goes with them, but colour can present several drawbacks when it comes to resale.  Choose colours with just the right touch of life to them: neutral enough to present a blank canvas, but interesting enough to add some character.

Grey is very trendy right now, especially warm greys like 40YY-51/084, ICI Paints. It's a very sophisticated colour especially beautiful in townhouses, with architectural detail picked out in white trim, like cornice and crown mouldings, or marble.  

More adventurous sink designs are in for bathroom renovations, whether they're undermounted or the vessel type that sits on a counter. The concept of the vanity as furniture ties in very nicely with that: it's much more natural to have a beautiful, freestanding vanity with a vessel sink, than an antique piece that's had a hole cut in the top for a sink.  Natural colours and materials are important for bathroom renos.. People are going back to an earthy look – stone, matte textures, exotic woods, tumbled marble, limestone.

Handles and hardware are very clean and simple, like other elements in the bath. You might see a bit of nautical-inspired hardware, such as galley-style metal pulls, but nothing too ornate.
